Loved my stay at Behome, from the get go the warm welcome from Lauren and the friendly house mates already here, the pods were really cool, kitchen very clean and everyone was very respectful. Location is perfect 2 mins walk to the tram 5 mins or less to beach, supermarkets, shops. 10/10 I would definitely stay again!! Thanks Lauren Chris and Sandy 💎💎💎

The place is very clean, good way to make friends all around the world, but also with a pod you get privacy. Honestly one of the best places to stay in Surfers. I will miss it and all the memories. What I found instead was a family, a community, and a sense of belonging I didn’t even know I was searching for. The walls held more than just rooms, they held laughter, late-night talks, shared meals, support during hard days, and genuine care from people who were once strangers and quickly became life long friends.
What made it all even more special were the owners and staff. They weren’t just running a place, they were building a home. Their kindness, understanding, and willingness to go above and beyond for each resident made all the difference. They were always there to help, to listen, and to support, no matter what was needed. Their warmth and compassion created an atmosphere where everyone could feel safe, seen, and valued.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Before I got to the gold coast I have never heard of this place before but I am soo glad I found it. They really weren't lying when they say it is a home away from home. I stayed here for 4 months (wish it was longer) and had the best time of my life. Made lifelong friendships and incredible memories. Anyone who is coming to the goldcoast and needs a longterm place to stay, make new friends and feel like home this is the place. Thank you Sandy and the rest of Behome for making my stay here so enjoyable!!

Be Home was meant to be a temporary stop, a stepping stone for me and my best friend who moved to Australia at just 18. But from the moment we stepped inside, we felt something different. It draws in genuine travellers from all over the world and somehow, effortlessly, turns strangers into family. Even though I was only there for five months, I walked away with lifelong friends and unforgettable memories that I’ll carry with me forever. If you’re lucky like I was you might even find your travel bestie here. The space itself is a gem, always spotless with cleaners working around the clock, a 24-hour kitchen that feels like the heart of the home, and most importantly, privacy that truly respects your space. This isn’t one of those hostels where your only “privacy” is a thin curtain over your bed. At Be Home, it’s so much more it’s thoughtful, comfortable, and honestly… it just feels right. Be Home gave me more than a place to sleep. It gave me connection, laughter, love, and a sense of belonging I never expected but will always cherish.

I arrived with the plan to stay for just 1 or 2 months, but ended up staying for 6 months. This hostel is truly unique and feels like home. I made lifelong friendships, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. There’s always something fun to do with the other guests, so you’ll never get bored.
The capsule option is great, you get a perfect rest and privacy. The common areas are well maintained and have everything you need.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise, with everything you need just a 5 minute walk away, including public transport, supermarkets, gyms, and entertainment.
Big thanks to Sandy and Chris for creating such a place, and to the managers Terry and Lauren for always helping us with anything we needed.

Stayed here during my time in Gold Coast, brilliant location, great rooms, amazing social areas and kitchen whilst being kept clean.
Had a lovely time staying at behome while finding my footing here in Australia! Everyone is friendly and welcoming as soon as you step foot into the building! Terry the property manager is amazing and always around to be a helping hand. Sandy the owner got back to me quickly about questions and concerns and attended to them straight away. Happy I was able to be apart of the community for a short time 🙂

Planned on staying at behome for 2 months…… ended up staying for 6 months! I have made many amazing memories and met life long friends, making my experience in Australia really special thanks to Behome! Great location to everything you need (supermarkets, jobs, public transport and most importantly the beach!). The perfect place to meet people from places all around the world. This place is the most I felt like home the entire time I have been travelling in Australia. Sandy and Chris are so welcoming and friendly, bringing you in and truly making you feel like part of the family! They hold fun events to get to know all the house mates, and no request is too big or too small for the lovely Terry 😊 The place is kept very clean, and the rules they have really made it feel like a safe place, especially as I was a solo female traveller. Really grateful to have stayed here!!

I stayed in behome last year for about 2 months and loved it so much I’m moving back in next week. The location is amazing, you have gyms, shops, tram, beach and restaurants within a 5 min walk. It’s the best place to meet people, everyone is really open and friendly and you’ll have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. It’s really nice getting back from work and always having people to talk to if you’d like and there are also areas to spend some quiet time if that’s what you want. They keep everything super clean and also provide everything you need to cook and store your things in the kitchen.
I have had a great experience living here and meeting good people, also has great hosts and makes it feel like a home. I would highly recommend staying here.

I planned to be here for three months and ended up being here for five! I have made memories and friends that will last a lifetime which I will forever be grateful for. A very good price for the location in comparison to other hostels, very clean and well maintained with constant improvements where necessary.
